Jon Carver is an artist, educator, arts writer and curator, and has a MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art, in Philadelphia & Rome.

Since 1992 he has exhibited and sold over 250 original oil paintings and other artworks to private collections.

His writing on contemporary art has been published since 1996 in the form of over 300 art reviews, numerous artist’s monographs, and an illustrated book on New Mexican sculptors. Carver’s art writings and art criticism have appeared in regional, national, and international publications including THE magazine, ArtLtd., Art Papers, and Art News. His catalog essays have been translated and published in Mexico, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Romania.

Carver is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe New Mexico where he has taught Art History and Drawing since 2011.
